Let's make this clear in one sentence, No mobile can match DSLR right now in picture quality but this difference only matters when you see the pictures on your laptop or any other screen offline.
Yes, you can see this difference only offline because most of the sharing sites lower down the picture quality.
I clicked this picture from my previous budget smartphone (moto G3)and you can see that when i post it on the Instagram, it will behave like a good resolution photo. Also, according to the various posts out there on the net, when you post a picture from iPhone 7/ pixel/DSLR on any social network like facebook, Linkedin, twitter, Instagram etc, there is no difference in the quality of the picture.
Now, If you belong to the category of 90% people who click pictures just to post them on the social network then you should not spend your valuable money on DSLR.
